You will appreciate the charm and authentic feeling of Montchavin village with its ancient walls which form part of its protected original layout. The village is situated on the edge of The Vanoise National Park, opposite Beaufortain and Mont Blanc. On the pistes there's great skiing to be had, whether in the huge La Plagne area or at the Paradiski area, as one of the Vanoise Express cable car stations, linking the La Plagne ski area with Les Arcs', is in the Montchavin Les Coches sector.

The La Plagne / Les Arcs ski area connection: since Christmas 2003, the "Vanoise Express" chair links the ski areas between Plan-Peisey (Les Arcs) and Montachavin-Les Coches (La Plagne). It encompasses an outstanding area of more than 260 miles of ski slopes, 2 skiable glaciers and 2 mountaintops culminating at 9,800 feet.

Domaine de La Plagne

Montchavin, Les Coches, Belle Plagne, Plagne Bellecôte, Plagne Village, Plagne Soleil, Plagne Centre, Plagne 1800, Aime la Plagne, Plagne Montalbert, Champagny. At the heart of the Tarentaise massif, La Plagne offers one of Europe's greatest range of ski slopes in a remarkable natural environment. It is a group of 11 resorts connected to one another by a vast network of runs and ski lifts. La Plagne's quality facilities include three snowparks and a half-pipe (Bellecôte, Montchavin and Champagny en Vanoise) with 3 boardercross courses including the Bellecôte course on natural terrain between pines and larches, many modules and handrails... Sound system, barbecue... It has all the new freestyle generation could want.

Enfants in Plagne Montchavin

Montchavin naturally attracts families, which is how it earned its famous 'Famille Plus' label of excellence. Here town planning has been carried out with great consideration for holidaymakers cars are banned inside the villages. - 'Club des bébés' from 12 months to 3 years. - 'Club Neige' from 3-9 years. - 'Club Neige' from 9-13 years.

Non-ski activities

It's difficult to be bored in Montchavin Les Coches! Here are a few of the activities on offer at the resort: Snowshoeing, hang-gliding, heliskiing, helicopter flights for tourists, bobrafting, bobsleigh, artificial ice climbs, skating rink, tobogganing…

Domaine Skiable familiale grand mais pour débutant. Appartement grand, mais malheureusement sans 2 doubles lits comme proposés sur le site, il y a obligatoirement des lits superposés... Acceuil très bon, avec la prestation.

Séjour dans le Chalet d'Anaïte de "grande classe". Village de Montchavin très sympathique, avec toutes commodités à proximité. Accès pratique aux remontées et domaine skiable excellent. Très bon souvenir de ce séjour

séjour agréable à Montchavin tres petite station mais moins cher et qui donne accès aux grandes stations commme la plagne grace aux remontées mécaniques situées à 2 pas du chalet qui était confortable.
