Saint Martin de Belleville

Saint Martin de Belleville

Located in a natural environment, exceptional in Winter and Summer alike, Saint Martin de Belleville is a Savoyard village that has kept its genuine character, with narrow streets and stone, wood and schist houses. At the entry to "Les 3 Vallées" (The Three Valleys), the world's largest ski area, Saint Martin de Belleville allows direct connection to the Menuires and Val Thorens areas which are all located in The Belleville Valley and to Courchevel, Méribel and La Tania (other resorts in "Les 3 Vallées").

Three valleys, eight resorts. The Les 3 Vallées/Three Valleys ski area hosts eight world famous resorts. There are more in fact, all situated in the valleys belonging to the domain. First of all, there is The Saint-Bon valley which was the first to be equipped for winter sports. It is also the one with the highest number of resorts connected by lifts and runs: a total of four, from 4,200 to 6,070 feet, forming the commonly called Courcheval. Secondly comes its neighbour, Allues valley. It is home to two resorts forming the heart of Les 3 Vallées: Méribel and Méribel-Mottaret located respectively at 4,900 and 5,580 feet. Finally, Belleville valley, the largest, hosting three resorts: Saint Martin de Belleville (4,600 ft), Les Ménuires (6,000 ft) and Val Thorens (7,750 ft), regarded as Europe's highest. The latter requires by itself more than one day to explore all the available skiing opportunities… Imagine what it would take for all three valleys! All together, Les 3 Vallées hosts eight ski resorts, connected one to another by a network of ski lifts and ski runs that is just unique in the world. Ski holiday resorts and villages at the bottom of the valley, i.e, Brides-les-bains (2,000 ft), a spa resort linked to Meribel and Orelle (2,900 ft) in Maurienne are now also connected which has allowed the Southern side to be equipped and gives access to Les 3 Vallées' new summit: Pointe du Bouchet (11,150 ft).
