60 miles of runs and 30 snow cannons, this extraordinary ski area is open to everyone. It is now equipped with the new "Télémix de Rocherousse" ski lift servicing the new Roche Brune ski area culminating at an altitude of9,840 feet. With the "P'tits Montagnards" label, Orcières Merlette 1850 adheres to a quality charter with strict criteria pertaining to reception, equipment and activities in order to better meet the requirements of parents and children on ski holiday in the mountains. Orcières Merlette 1850 offers: "Maison de l'Enfant": Childcare centre for ages 6 months to 3 years, Snow gardens for ages 3 to 6 years.

For extra security, why not choose the snow guarantee insurance that Skibed has to offer: valid at any resort located at an altitude above 1,200 meters. If in the 5 days preceding your arrival at the resort the scarcity of snow is very noticeable (2/3 of the ski-lifts normally in service at the site of your stay are closed for at least 2 consecutive days) you may be reimbursed for the price of your holiday (in accordance with the general conditions relating to the insurance).

Great holiday in Orcieres
An excellent holiday, several minor points. I thought the internet access would be free, however there was a 20 euro charge. Also the resort featured free access to the swimming pool and skating with the lift pass however the lift passes we were provided with did not include access to either and as a result we had to pay for access. The resort was exactly as described by you as was the apartment which was excellent value. We had a great holiday and will book through Skibed again.

Exellent resort and accomodation for what we needed. if we had been in a group the lack of entertainment may have been an issue. The skiing was great for intermediate level but not very varied for more advanced skiers. SOme of this could be blamed on teh lack of snow so that off-piste was limited.
