Arreau

Arreau

Arreau is a small town situated at the confluence of two valleys, the Aure and the Louron. The town's location, between the Aspin and Peyresourde mountain passes, and the advent of thermal spas have meant Arreau has been a tourist destination since the 19th century. In the winter when Arreau puts on its snowy coat, skiing and snowshoeing take over. There are 3 ski resorts not far from Arreau: Peyragudes, Val Louron, and Saint Lary. It is only a 20-minute drive to any of these 3 resorts and a train service (tickets needed) serves the Saint Lary slopes twice per day.

Domaine de Val Louron

19/12/2009 to 28/03/2010

It is this ski holiday resort's policy to think big: this includes artificial snow. Skiers' satisfaction demands a double guarantee of snow so major improvements have been carried out. The Val-Louron ski area and its ski holiday resorts distinguish themselves in their originality. Indeed, the resort uses one of a few snow canons that can operate at positive air temperatures. Thus the beginners area snowcover can be guaranteed regardless of weather conditions.

Snow Guarantee: widespread snow cover or your money back !

For extra security, why not choose the snow guarantee insurance that Skibed has to offer: valid at any resort located at an altitude above 1,200 meters.
